Bruce Peninsula National Park

There are just so many rocks, everywhere!!

The beach is even made of rocks!

The water is unbelievably clear - look, you can see all the rocks through the water, clear as anything!

This is the famous "grotto".  It was very wavy.  As we were only there for a short time, I didn't go in - I couldn't tell what was what. Given all the rocks, I was too intimidated to do more than sit at the edge and get splashed. That was enough - I almost got knocked over enough times just sitting there!  We definitely have to go back when we can spend some more time there.

And when we come back I want to be in this perfect Canadian beer commercial!  (this is Cypress Lake)

Bruce Peninsula Road Trip July 25, 2011 Caves

Bonnie and I went for our annual road trip in July.  This time we made it all the way up to "the Bruce"!

We stopped at some "caves" along the way.  These are known as escarpment caves because they form along the escarpment, underneath the massive wall of rock!

The ceilings in the caves were really interesting..

Then there are these types of spots - it gets a little scary if you stop to think about it too long!

Then we ended up with this view of Georgian Bay

Spectacular!  I love Ontario.
